Splendid Harvest

Thinking through the thoughts of this day has been sheer delight for me. I have enjoyed such a wonderful time of just enjoying time running errands in the car, and then the afternoon just hanging out with my husband, then closing the evening with some dear friends. As the evening comes to a close, I was thinking of the time we had with our friends. We sat there sharing and listening to their time from a recent missionary journey to a foreign country. What an awesome experience that was for them, yet their journey and mine paralleled in many ways. As they journeyed physcially and went through the different towns and interacted int he lives of the people, there were so many decisions made for Christ that it would bring you to tears. Their journey was so fulfilling for them and the pictures were amazing, the stories phenomenal. For me...my journey was not to the foreign county physically, but was journeyed with them spirtually. I fasted and prayed for them during their time there and I found such a rewarding experience in doing so. I saw and heard the Lord do many wonders as I prayed for them daily and for specific things. What God did for me was even greater. He showed me even more the importance of praying for others. This time was so different for me. It was not about just my "immediate family", I was praying for friends far away, but even more than that...I was praying for the salvation of lost souls. What God did was bring in a harvest that was truly abundant and beyond anything I could have ever imagined. He brought in a Splendid Harvest. Praise be to God for His glorious ways. Praise Him for his mighty hand and all that He has done. He is great and mighty and worthy to be praised! Thank you so much Lord for your faithfulness not only to those who went forth to work the fields for the harvest, but for your faithfulness to the prayers of your other children. Thank you that you hear our prayers and that you alone are the one who should receive all honor and glory! Psalm 36:5-7 "Your love, O Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies, Your righteiousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the great deep. O Lord, you preserve both man and beast. How priceless is your unfailing love! Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of your wings."
